  • BIM – Stream 1  Health science students

BIM stream 1 caters to the Medical UG students of India. We help them understand the basics of interacting with adolescents as well as proper conduct. We bring the Medical Students to a local school and have each medical student interact with a school student. We then send Unnathi resource persons and teach the school students a few minor changes to implement in their lives. A month or so later we bring the medical student back to the school and have them follow up with the students. This way we are able to see the difference in students’ lives and also use these teachings for a lifetime.

    BIM - Stream 2  Non-medical

BIM stream 2 caters to UG students from non- medical fields. We conduct a day-long workshop on self-empowerment for the students, and screen them before taking them to a local school. The rest of the process is the same as Stream 1. This movement will help us show the UG students how they can shape the upcoming society. By using our techniques and practices, students can learn to equip themselves with strong foundational values and practices. This in turn creates a healthier society in the mind, body and soul levels.

Holistic Well-Being for Rural Women (Care for Caregivers)

Women empowerment is not just a buzzword, but a crucial aspect of creating a healthier and fairer society. By empowering women, we can achieve holistic wellbeing and progress, benefiting not only women themselves but also their families and communities

The history of women's empowerment is long and arduous, with women fighting for their rights to vote, work, and be treated equally. The efforts of suffragettes and feminists paved the way for women's participation in politics and government, and progress was made in addressing issues such as workplace discrimination and violence against women.

However, despite these historical achievements, women still face significant challenges in many parts of the world, particularly in the realm of healthcare. While maternal and child health is often prioritized, women are still underrepresented in healthcare management, preventing them from taking an active role in preventing and treating healthcare challenges. Moreover, mental and emotional wellbeing, understanding one's own socio-cultural and religious practices, and achieving a complete state of health are still not prioritized in many communities, especially in rural areas.

At its core, women empowerment is about creating an environment where women have access to health, opportunities, and resources to support themselves and their families. By empowering women, we can create a more inclusive, fair, and healthy society for all. Join us in the fight for women's empowerment and progress towards a better future!

Creating an Enabling Environment for Women's Empowerment

To achieve women's empowerment, it is important to address these challenges and work towards creating an environment where women can thrive. This can be done through various measures, such as:

  • Education: Educating and training the women to understand multidimensional existence of human nature and tools/techniques to manage her physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual health.
  • Healthcare: provide resource and teach them Yoga, asana, pranayama, do’s and don’ts of sleep and food intake can take care of physical health.
  • Mental and emotional wellbeing: Providing sufficient techniques to manage oneself during one’s and family crisis periods. Handling one’s emotions and thoughts plays a crucial role in family and social life.
  • Social dimensions of health: Irrespective of religion, making them to understand cultural practices to lead better life in harmony.
  • Entrepreneurship: Women must be encouraged to start their own healing/training centers and become entrepreneurs. This can be done through access to funding, training, and other resources. In conclusion, women empowerment is crucial especially rural women to creating a just and fair society. It involves addressing the challenges that women face in multiple dimensions and creating an environment where they can thrive. By providing access to education, healthcare, political participation, legal protection, and entrepreneurship, we can work towards achieving women's empowerment and creating a better world for all.

  • Unnathi Healing Foundation Kumari Shibira

Upbringing of the adolescents is one of the major challenges in 21st century, especially in Indian context, a country that is more culture and ethnicity based. Recent education system and pandemic has led to easy access of electronic gadgets to children for education and training purpose, which has put them into more addictive mode. Along with that, unscientific attraction towards the Western culture is making the teens to forget about the culture of our country and its significance.

Unnathi Healing Foundation has realized the need for this and wanted to educate the children and their parents about the significant contribution of culture to the overall personality development of their children. With the blessings of the Pontiff, Sri Sri Sri Gangadharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamiji of Sri Sonda Swarnavalli Matha, Sirsi; Unnathi Healing Foundation, Bangalore and Sri Swarnavalli Rajarajeshwari Mathru Mandali Bangalore organised Kumari Shibira programme for teenage girls.
